PRAGUE NATIONAL GALLERY- a few selections

We met a couple in our wanderings today.  We headed towards a scenic park but went the wrong way and ended up in a neglected, blighted  area of the park.  Post communism depressed area.  The couple stopped to ask if they could help and urged us to go elsewhere because with all the beautiful sights in Prague this was not one to spend any time in.  I asked if it was safe.  They said yes Czech Republic is very safe because there are no guns and therefore very little violent crime.  The police have guns but rarely shoot them and if they do, it makes headlines.  I asked about hunting.  They said no, that if a czech killed a game animal, they would be in jail for a very long time.  It's nice to know that you can safely walk the streets without fear.  US needs to take note.
We never did make it to the area of the park that we were looking for, but went to the National Gallery of Modern Art instead.
Tonight in the neighborhood,  we had a wonderful authentic Vietnamese meal with appetizer and drinks for 2 for $17.00.
Today we bought 2 sixteen oz of beer, a bottle of wine (white wine here is smooth and delicious), a pack of cigarettes, and chocolates ( all healthy vacation food) for $10.00.
Posting a few pics from the national gallery today.
Tommorrow going to work on a graffiti trek and will post.  Large amounts of graffiti everywhere - even on the nicest buildings and craftsman made doors.
